A Corporate Partnerships Executive is responsible for developing and executing strategies to identify, cultivate, and secure corporate partnerships that provide financial and in-kind support for Koala, under its commercial division. Key duties include managing a portfolio of existing partners, building and maintaining a sales pipeline, creating proposals and pitches, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver on partnership agreements and campaign objectives. The role requires strong business development, relationship management, negotiation, and marketing skills.
What key responsibilities does this role have @ Koala?
Prospecting and pipeline management: Identify potential corporate partners, build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects, and manage leads through all stages of the sales cycle.
Relationship management: Cultivate and steward long-term relationships with existing and new partners, ensuring mutual benefit and high renewal rates.
Proposal and negotiation: Develop compelling proposals, pitch materials, and partnership agreements. Negotiate financial and in-kind agreements.
Account management: Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts, including identifying opportunities for deeper engagement and implementing stewardship programs.
Internal collaboration: Work with internal teams, such as marketing, finance and legal to align partnership activations with broader organisational strategies.
Reporting: Track progress and provide regular reports on partnership activities, pipeline opportunities, and financial performance.
Compliance and evaluation: Conduct ethical screenings of potential partners to ensure alignment with organisational values.
Commercial Support: help support the team (as needed) with sales and marketing duties, which could include market research, attending tradeshows, and lead acquisition and marketing activations.
Ideal background...
Strategic and analytical skills: Ability to analyse data, evaluate prospects, and develop strategies that align with organisational goals.
Business development and sales skills: Experience in prospecting, lead generation, and closing deals.
Interpersonal and communication skills: Strong ability to build rapport, negotiate, and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Marketing and branding knowledge: Understanding of marketing tactics and how to leverage off Koala’s brand to attract partners.
Organisational and project management skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and information effectively.
Innovation: Be different, think big, and create client campaigns that perform, to maximise revenue.
Experience: Previous experience in fundraising, business development, or a related field is often required.
